The Problem

Your people aren't just tired. They're disconnected.

Burnout is the silent budget crisis no one talks about. It costs U.S. employers hundreds of billions annually in healthcare, lost productivity, and the devastating expense of replacing people who leave.
What employees are actually losing is confidence, creativity, connection to each other, and any sense that their company invests in them as whole human beings.

That's not a wellness problem. That's a culture problem. And culture determines who stays.

This isn't a perk.
It's a strategy.

Movement-based wellness is one of the most underutilized tools in the HR toolkit. While gym reimbursements go unused and wellness apps go unopened, Art of VIII creates a shared, social, joyful experience, the kind your people actually talk about on Monday morning.

✧ Reduces chronic stress and burnout

Dance activates the parasympathetic nervous system and releases endorphins, measurable stress reduction that lasts beyond the session.

✧ Builds cross-team relationships

Shared learning experiences create social bonds that translate directly to collaboration and psychological safety at work.

✧ Increases benefit utilization

Because it’s joyful, not obligatory. Our cohort model creates accountability and community, the reasons people actually show up.

✧ Differentiates your employer brand

In a competitive talent market, offering Art of VIII signals a people-first culture, the kind candidates notice and employees remember.

Why It Works

Art of VIII works
on every level at once

It builds confidence, unlocks creativity, strengthens team dynamics, and supports whole-person health: physical, mental, and emotional, all in a single experience.

01

Builds confidence

When an adult learns a physical skill in a group and succeeds, it rewires how they see themselves, and it shows up at work.

02

Unlocks creativity

Movement activates the brain differently than screen work, opening the divergent thinking companies pay consultants to find.

03

Strengthens team dynamics

You can’t do a group dance class and stay in your silo. It requires listening, trust, and showing up for each other.

04

Supports whole-person health

Physical, mental, and emotional,  every dimension of wellbeing, addressed together in one experience.

Who's Behind This

17 years of proof.
A team built to deliver it.

Art of VIII was founded by Janicka A. Arthur, a Goldman Sachs 10KSB graduate who spent seventeen years turning movement into measurable change for more than 3,000 adults, then brought that rigor into the workplace. She isn’t a wellness vendor who discovered dance; she’s a dance educator who built a business Goldman Sachs backed.

But you’re not booking one person’s calendar. You’re partnering with a team (vetted practitioners across ballet, yoga, movement, and fitness) built to scale to your organization, so your people get consistent, professional instruction every session.

Testimonials

What People Are Saying

I’ve rolled out a lot of wellness programs that looked good on a slide and got ignored in practice. This is the first one people actually asked me to bring back. It didn’t feel like something HR was making them do. It felt like something they got to do, and the difference in how they talk about it says everything.

Alicia M., Director of People & Culture

I approved this expecting a morale bump and not much else. What I didn’t expect was watching people who sit twenty feet apart and never speak end up laughing in the same room. You can’t put that on a spreadsheet, but I can see it in how the team moves now. It’s the rare thing I’d sign off on again without hesitating.

Jonathan P., Founder & CEO

I sit at a desk all day and I’d stopped noticing how much I was carrying in my shoulders until someone gave me a reason to move. I walked in stiff and skeptical. I walked out feeling like a person again. It’s the fifteen minutes of my week I don’t let anything else take.
